DMCA Copyright Policy
findmerooms.com respects intellectual property rights. This policy describes how copyright owners can request removal of allegedly infringing photos or text displayed in room listings on findmerooms, and how posters may submit counter-notices.
Effective July 12, 2026 · Last updated July 12, 2026
1. Designated Copyright Agent
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), our designated agent for copyright infringement notices is:
DMCA Agent — findmerooms.com
Email: legal@findmerooms.com
Subject line: "DMCA Takedown Notice"
Only copyright-related communications should be sent to this address. Other inquiries should go to our Contact page or legal@findmerooms.com.
2. Takedown Notice Requirements
If you believe content in a findmerooms listing infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@findmerooms.com that includes all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved
- Identification of the material on findmerooms that you claim is infringing, including enough information for us to locate it (for example, the listing title, neighborhood, price, and the URL on findmerooms)
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. We may forward your notice to the poster who submitted the listing where appropriate.
3. Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will expeditiously investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the identified listing or specific content within it. We may also remove listings when we receive credible reports of unauthorized use of photos or descriptions, even outside the formal DMCA process.
Because listings are submitted directly by posters, removing content from findmerooms removes it from our site but does not affect copies the poster may hold elsewhere.
4. Counter-Notice
If you posted a listing and believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@findmerooms.com including:
- Identification of the material removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone number, and email
- Consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or our location if outside the U.S.) and acceptance of service of process from the complainant
- Your physical or electronic signature
We may restore material after 10–14 business days unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order, consistent with the DMCA.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In appropriate circumstances, we may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing content or otherwise violate intellectual property rights.
6. Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
7. Contact
