Known as "Green Bursa", the city, is filed with gardens and parks. It is at the center of an important fruit
growing region. Bursa was, and is still, famous for its silk trade, towel manufacture and thermal springs.
You must taste locally invented Iskender Kebab, a dish of bread, tomato sauce, strips of grilled meat,
melted butter and yoghurt. Just 10km away from Bursa is Cumahkzuk, a village that has preserved the
texture of residential Ottoman architecture until the present time. These historic houses are now protected.
It was one of the first places settled by the Ottomans when they moved into Bursa. There are a total of
270 historical houses in the village. 180 of them are still being used as dwellings.
The origins of this unusual region can be traced some 50 million years ago, huge quantities of volcanic
material have spewed out of the volcanoes. Forces of erosion have shaped the incredible and unique
Cappadocian tuff-coned landscape. For hundreds of years men have dug into the soft but firm tuff to
create dwellings, monasteries, churches and underground cities.
There are many 'must see places' in Cappadocia like; Fairy Chimneys, Underground City of Kaymakli, Goreme
Open-Air Museum and many more.
Discover the oldest existing wine region of the world. It is Cappadocia where wine production started
nearly 4000 years ago. Also enjoy the gastronomic specialty of the region knon as Testi Kebab. It is
an assortment of spices, soup, meats and vegetables cooked inside clay pots.
